About Me

Hello! Welcome to my site. I'm Sam! I'm a born and raised New Yorker (technically I'm from Long Island but I rarely claim) and I'm proud to be an artist. I have been performing professionally ever since I was a kid and now, as an adult, I've been continuing to chase the dragon, so to speak. I went to school, got my BFA with the rest of the glee generation, then moved to NYC. I wasn't there for long before I was on a cruise ship! Papa needed funds to support his whimsical lifestyle, so I worked on 5 ships across 3 cruise lines between the years of 2018 and 2023, all while doing theater in between. And if you're wondering "was he one of the guys who was stranded on a cruise ship at the beginning of the pandemic?" you would be correct! Lots of stories for the memoir to come.

Anywho, since then I've been doing shows, writing music, and overall enjoying life! Over the past decade I've had the privilege of traveling to 23 countries, performing across the world and regionally, and creating my own work! So, not too many complaints here. I'm just looking forward to expanding my creativity and artistry for another few decades, or until someone gives me the cane! But in all seriousness, I'm looking forward to approaching each working year as an opportunity to ask myself "how can I be more authentic and more honest than the previous year?" That’s what it’s all about, baby!

Billy To His Friends

at The Wild Project NYC as part of the Fresh Fruit Fest

I am so excited to be performing in this new play about gay historical figure Billy Sipple, the American veteran who prevented the assassination of President Gerald Ford and who was then outed by Harvey Milk. I play the character of "Walt," a police officer in San Fransisco who is a long-time close friend of Billy's. Performances are 4/28, 4/29, and 5/2. Click the link below for more info!

Mikey!

at The Tank NYC

After "Billy..." in April, I'll be moving on to "Mikey!" in May! "Mikey!" is a campy new play about Michelangelo as he embarks on painting the Sistine Chapel. I played "Bramante," the mean-spirited, closeted architect of the Sistine who tries to sabotage Mikey, at the reading of this play at the Drama League this past winter. I'm so happy to be moving forward with it's fully-staged premier at the iconic Tank NYC. Performances run from 5/19-5/31. Click the link below for more info!
